Noida Day

17 Apr

Yes… today is the official Noida Day. Its not just a place, but in a very short span of time, it has evolved into a beautiful place which provides employment to about 3 lakh people everyday. Today, we will not discuss the crime rate in the city (which is pathetically high), because today is not the occasion.

Today is the occasion to stand up, clap and sing “Happy Birthday Noida”.

And following are the reasons as to why:

  • Noida came into administrative existence on 17 April 1976. It was set up as part of an urbanization thrust during the controversial  The city was created under the UP Industrial Area Development Act.

  • Noida stands at 17th place when it comes to cleanliness of a city in India.
  • It is home to:
  1. IIM Lukhnow
  2. Amity School
  3. Army Public school
  4. Billabong High International School                                                                     and many other reputed and prestigious centres of high learning.
  • Noida is a major hub for multinational firms outsourcing IT services e.g. Sapient, Headstrong, EXL Service, One97, MyKaarma, Abstract Consultancy, TSYS International, SDG Corporation, Dex Consulting, Search Value ITES Pvt Ltd, IBM and many more.
  • Shopping addas include the The Great Indian Palace,The Spice World Mall, Centrestage Mall and then, of course many more.
  • Due to its proximity to New Delhi and the increased pressure on land due to economic boom conditions, property rates are on the rise in the township. Land rates which were in the Rs. 3,000-15,000/m² range till about 5 years ago have soared to Rs. 30,000-85,000/m²
  • In 2005, the city hosted the Noida Half-Marathon and the city’s maiden international exposure, the Queen’s Baton Relay for the Commonwealth Games. The cycling competition for 2010 commonwealth games was held at NOIDA-Greater Noida express way. The Noida Golf Course is situated on the southern end of the city, and boasts a 18 hole par 72 course. In 2011, Greater Noida hosted the inaugural Formula One Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit constructed by Jaypee Group. The circuit is the first of its kind in South Asia.

So, these are just a trailer of what Noida has actually achieved. Today, it has turned 37. Salaam to the young achiever and may it grow to be a city which is safer, more advanced and happier than it is today.

Hey there! I realize this is somewhat off-topic however I needed to ask.
Does managing a well-established website such as yours require a lot of work?

I am completely new to operating a blog however I do write in my journal every day.
I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my own experience and thoughts online.
Please let me know if you have any kind of recommendations
or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Thankyou!

Hey… the thing that you said that I have a well established website… that’s really motivating… i never knew that… its flattening really and i am thankful for that
About the tips you asked see.. when i started this blog… i had just an idea that i want to make people laugh and if not that, atleast bring a smile on their faces…. now i deviate a lot from that idea but in every post i try not to sound despaired…
so what i suggest is have a central idea as to why you want to blog and stick to it…
i should share it here that when i started this blog.. i had not even a single follower in the first 2 months… so don’t become a pessimist if things don’t turn good too fast… keep faith that they will….
these are the only mantras that i follow and i suggest… 🙂 thank u for dropping by… if you have any suggestions regarding my blog or you want to ask something more about blogging… i would be really happy to hear it 🙂
      Good Day 🙂
